Good Morning everyone!!

We had another great week here in Bay City!! We worked hard and saw some cool things happen!

Well, I will start with my birthday. Thank you for all of the birthday wishes!! I had a fantastic day. It was really fun! I am sorry I didn't have time to write back to you all. I was insanely busy! In the morning we went to basketball like we usually do. We sped through our laundry and shopping so we could do fun stuff! We went bowling and then we went to Saginaw to go to Olive Garden. Shoutout to my Grandma for sending us a gift card!!! We had a really fun time. We invited 5 other missionaries who live in Saginaw to hang out with us.

We had a really fun District Council this week! (District Council is every Wednesday and we basically just have the District Leader share some insights with them and we study on how we can be better missionaries). When we went to Goodwill to get our sheets for that couch, we also got fat ties haha and the Elders all wore our fat ties to the District Council. It has been fun leading these councils and preparing them for the District. I learn a lot while trying to teach!

Elder Clouse and I were really busy this week. We met with lots of members and taught lots of lessons. I honestly can't remember very much of what happened this week because we were just really busy. So, I will share a few stories!

We were pretty sad this week. Our friend Jazzii, who is preparing for baptism, texted us this week and seemed kind of off. We aren't sure what will happen with her but I am praying for her.

BUT we had a cool miracle! For the past two weeks I have been fasting and praying for our friend Patrick. He needed some time to think about what we were teaching him and I was worried he didn't want to meet with us anymore. But, he texted us this week and he said he is leaning towards Baptism! We will see what happens with him this week. I am so grateful the Lord answered my prayers!

The other set of Elders here in Bay City had a baptism this week! Their work has been slower... but I am so happy for them. It was a wild baptism for them. Last week she got cold feet so they were really worried about it happening again. The morning of, before we left we all said a prayer in our living room that the baptism would go well and that it would work out. The lord was in the details! We went to her house before church started and it did NOT seem like it was going to happen. We went to church, and then after the first hour the other Elders took the car and visited her and something had changed! She was like "yeah, I will finish eating and come to the baptism." So, after church we helped set up for the baptism and we were all still worried it wouldn't happen. Sure enough, Barbara rolled in fashionably late and we had the baptism! She will be a great member of the ward. She was just nervous for the baptism but we are so excited for her!! The members were so great in helping her out. One member even left her son who was in the hospital because Barbara wanted her there! The Bay City Ward is incredible.

We had a really sweet experience with this member of our ward named Sister Andrews. She is an older lady who just recently had her husband pass away. She had us come over this week because she wanted to give out his suits to us. Us four Elders had a fun time trying on all his suits. I couldn't fit into any of them unfortunately. But, she gave me a few of his sweaters that are super nice! Elder Clouse went and got his suit tailored and wore it to church and it was so sweet. Sister Andrews started crying. She was so happy to see someone wearing his suit! She is such a sweet hearted lady. Elder Clouse and I took a picture with her at Barbara's baptism.

I know that God is in the details, and loves each of you! Have a great week everyone!

Elder Elliott
