WEEK 6

This week was amazing! I saw so many miracles this week

This week I was SO BUSY which is a great way to be. Its kind of hard to put everything into an email so I was just say the highlights!

This week we did 8 hours of service which was great. We served at a soup kitchen, and at our friend Tyrone's house. His house is absolutely disgusting. He has 40 years of garbage piled in his basement but elder Corry and I went to work. You couldn't even see his floor that's how bad it was. But in two weeks we cleaned out his entire basement and organized it which was great. He was very appreciative.

We also served at the soup kitchen which was incredible. It was so amazing to watch all these people and actually serve them individually. We set up a line of boxes and we all handed the boxes down the line and set them into people's cars. The boxes were full of groceries and such and it was the Elders' job to put them into people's cars! So we got to interact with the people and it was so amazing to feel the Lord's love for these people.

We were very busy with lessons this week. We had 17 members lessons and we had lessons with our investigators too. We were so busy in fact that on Thursday I didn't have time to eat until 930 at night!! But, I love the work. It is so fulfilling. It has been incredible to meet with members and here their conversion stories. Most people in Michigan are converts (from what I can tell). So its different than what I'm used to where everyone is a lifelong member. But hearing their stories has been so incredible and we feel the spirit so strong as they share their testimonies. In one lesson, we had felt prompted to call a less active woman in our area book. So we set up a lesson with her and she shared her testimony and conversion story and my companion was so overcome with the spirit he couldn't speak. So, I finished out the lesson for us. We have seen many many miracles. That woman shared that she had really, really needed to talk to us and we were definitely inspired to call her. That same thing happened with three people we met with this week! The lord's hand is definitely in this work and I feel privileged to be a part of it.

Funny moment:

The zone leaders have grown to be some of my closest friends they are amazing. We have so many fun moments with them. We hang out with them quite a bit and they eat dinner with us frequently when the amazing members give us food. Something really funny was this week, we ran out of toilet paper and we couldn't go to the store so we made do with what we had until Sunday. Then on Sunday we slipped into the back of the Church and grabbed one of the huge bathroom rolls and took it home. 🤣 We felt like criminals sneakily grabbing toilet paper from THE CHURCH OF ALL PLACES but we really needed it! It was so funny trying to walk out of church with the roll in Elder Corry's suit jacket.

A spiritual thought from this week

This week in our member lessons we shared the story of Enos quite a bit. I love that story of his faithfulness and his prayer. I love especially Enos 1:11 which talks about Enos' unshakable testimony in the Lord. I could relate to Enos so much. By small means, my testimony has grown to the point where I could never deny it, even if I wanted to. I invite you guys to read Enos Chapter 1 (page 126) in the Book of Mormon. (I shared that page number quite a bit this week so its memorized haha)

I love all of you thanks for your prayers, emails, and support! I will provide a lot of pictures because that describes my life a little better than words.
