WEEK 14
Good morning everybody!
I had another great week here in Saginaw!
This week we saw some really fun things happen here. The week went by really fast but it was a blast.
To start off we had a really fun P-Day last week. We went to this lake a member in our ward has. They have this really cool lake where you can catch and release fish. The fish basically swim up to you and you can catch fish SO quick. One Elder grabbed the fishing pole and within minutes he had a fish. It was so fun. I will add some pictures below!
We had interviews with the Mission President this week and they were really great. He told me I was for sure staying in Saginaw so that is exciting. He wouldn't tell me who my next companion will be but I have a pretty good idea... we get Transfer Calls this week! I am anxious to see what happens. My companion is leaving on Friday to go to his original assignment! So I will be going to the Zone Leader's apartment to stay with them until the transfer is over. These past weeks have flown by and I cannot believe I am almost out of training!
We had some cool lessons this week. We met with a part-member family whose kids are not baptized yet. They seem like they want to get back into church so we are going to start meeting them every week. Their kids are so great and they were eating up everything we taught them. They were so proud of the copies of the Book of Mormon we gave them.
We picked up four new people this week! Elder Corry and I counted and we set up over twenty new lessons these past few weeks (who all would have been new people) and ALL of them fell through. We have been trying so hard to find new people and we were finally able to find some! Things are starting to look up here in Saginaw. It is so exciting! There are so many potential promising people here and it is exciting.
We did service for our friend Tyrone on Saturday and spent the entire time cutting down trees. It was a blast. We took some fun pictures.
Honestly there was a lot of fun stuff that happened this week but I don't know if I can remember it all. But there are miracles all the time! I love you all thanks for the emails!
Funny Moment:
We had exchanges with our District Leader this week and they came down to Saginaw. We decided to go out to eat so we were driving. For some reason I was driving and we stopped next to this lady at a stoplight. Like I mentioned earlier we are VERY dramatic in the car and I came to a stop slowly. My companion launched forward and pretended to hit his head on the dashboard. The lady looked over in horror and thought he was hurt. We played it off so well I was like "Oh no are you okay?" and he was clutching his forehead haha. After we did it a few times the lady realized what we were doing and started laughing. She started following us and honking her horn. It was a really funny scene. The Elders in the back were crying because they thought it was so funny. Elder Corry and I always say "they can't take us anywhere we are too much"

Spiritual Thought:
This week I really liked 1 Nephi 19:20
"And there was nothing save it were the power of God, which threatened them with destruction, could soften their hearts; wherefore, when they saw that they were about ti be swallowed up in the depths of the sea they repented of the thing which they had done, insomuch that they loosed me."
We should never be so prideful that "only the power of God" can humble us. Not a very uplifting message but it is so important to be humble in all that we do.
Love you all have a good week!
