WEEK 15- Transfers!
Good morning everyone!
What a crazy week. I will try to explain all the good parts! We got Transfer Calls Saturday and I was so nervous all day as I anticipated my call. I am going to a new area called Bay City to serve with the District Leader there! Everyone calls Bay City the "Promised Land" so I am actually really excited to go. I leave on Tuesday so I will tell you all about my new area next week. I was very surprised by the news, considering my Mission President literally told me I am staying here in Saginaw haha! But I am really excited nonetheless.
On Monday we went to Mount Pleasant for Elder Corry's last P-Day in Michigan! We had to go to Texas Roadhouse one more time. Because where he is going, McDonald's is high end! What a blessing it will be for him.
We had Zone Conference this week in Midland! It was so cool to hear all of our Mission President's thoughts. We learned about how we can increase our faith in Jesus Christ and I was spiritually fired up afterwards. It was so fun to see all the missionaries there. We took some fantastic pictures I will add below.
On Thursday, we had an impromptu exchange with the Zone Leaders because the Assistants to the President called Elder Corry and told him he needed to have all his stuff packed by that afternoon! He wasn't planning on leaving until Friday morning so he spent most of that day packing. Elder Harding and I filled in for all the lessons and we had a lot of fun at service. They had another Food Drive at the Soup Kitchen and we got to help out again! The people were so appreciative. It was pretty funny because the weather here got really nice on Thursday so EVERYONE that pulled up had fishing poles in the cars/trucks and after they got their food they were going to go fishing haha.
On Friday we woke up and drove to Lansing (the headquarters of the Mission). It was really cool to be there. My friend Elder Harding served on the MSU campus before the pandemic so he drove us around Lansing and showed us the cool stuff. I saw the stadium! We got to see a bunch of Elder Corry's missionary friends that live in Lansing before we dropped him off. He is going to do great on his mission!
There is lots of change happening right now. But that is okay! I am excited to see what miracles the Lord will allow me to witness. Love you all! Have a great week!

Funny Moment:
There were a lot of really funny things that happened this week. It is hard to pick just one. Probably the funniest thing that happened was I got a free cheesecake. Okay, so there are a lot of really kind/ creepy church members on Facebook that love missionaries. So, my first week in the field one of these members added me and told me he wanted to buy me a cheesecake. I was like what?? So I didn't respond. But, this week I was bored one day at lunch and decided I wanted a cheesecake. So, I messaged him back and he ordered one at the bakery that my companions and I picked up! It was awesome. Free cheesecake! I still don't know the guy or where he lives or anything but Facebook sure blesses us missionaries!
Spiritual Thought:
One thing our Mission President, President Heap really loves is the story of the Savior walking on the water to His disciples. He always says "be like Peter and get out of the boat!" So my invitation to you all is to ask you, how can you increase your faith in Jesus Christ? Take action because faith without works is dead. Sometimes to increase our faith we just need to take that first step. We need to "get out of the boat". How can you do this in your own life?
I love you all! Have a great week!
